adam fischel


BiopicsmallAdam was born in Brooklyn, New York and began his music career studying the piano at age 5. By age 9 he realized his true passion for the drums and began preparing himself for a professional career as a drummer. After a brief stint at the Julliard School of Music (Pre-College Division), Adam attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston.


Over the years, Adam has studied with several prominent session musicians including Jonathan Mover (Fuel, Aretha Franklin, Joe Satriani), John Riley (Miles Davis, John Scofield), Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright), Adam Nussbaum (Jon Ambercrombie), Pete Zeldman (Steve Vai), Ian Froman and Norman Freeman (New York Philharmonic). In addition, Adam has performed and done session work for Producer Andreao "Fanatic" Heard (of Janet Jackson, Usher, Boyz II Men fame). Adam has also toured Europe with Brooklyn based band, Needledrop (Featuring MCA Artist Steve O from the Fun Lovin' Criminals). He has performed on the road with Warner Bros. Recording/Curb artist Desol including an on air performace on Telemundo.


Most recently, Adam originated the drum chair for the First National Tour of the Tony Award winning musical Kinky Boots. He has also toured with Debbie Gibson as part of her Journey Through the 80's Tour along with Tiffany. Adam had the honor of performing on PBS and the Good Morning America Concert Series with the Midtown Men (Tony Award Winning Cast of Jersey Boys) as well as, hundreds of shows across the U.S and Canada. Adam has performed with over 27 Symphonies across the U.S., including The National Symphony in Washington, D.C. Furthermore, Adam has performed at South by Southwest and the North-by-North East Music Conferences, toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Italy, Ireland, Poland and the Caribbean.

Adam has been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine and endorses Paiste Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks and Aquarian Drumheads.
